Top 3 Skincare Products for Healthy Skin This Summer

Top 3 Skincare Products for Healthy Skin This Summer

Here are our top 3 recommendations for healthy skin this summer.

  1. Rosewater

  • Key Benefits:

  • HELPS TO STRENGTHEN SKIN CELLS AND REGENERATE SKIN TISSUES

  • REMOVES OIL & DIRT ACCUMULATED IN CLOGGED PORES

  • HELPS HYDRATE, REVITALIZE AND MOISTURIZE THE SKIN

  • ANTI-INFLAMMATORY: GREAT FOR: ROSACEA, ECZEMA & PSORIASIS

  • CAN HELP REDUCE THE REDNESS OF IRRITATED SKIN, & GET RID OF ACNE

 How We Use:

  1. Spray directly on skin after shower

  2. Carry in purse and spray on face throughout the day in the summer, to lock moisture in the skin, cool skin and for a very refreshing spritz! Keep in the fridge for an extra boost.

  3. After a long show, a night out, or camping I take a cotton re-usable pad and drench it in rosewater, and pat around my face for an extra deep clean.

Research has shown that rose water has antidepressant and anti-anxiety properties. It has been used to treat a number of mental health conditions, including: depression, stress, grief and tension.

Contrary to popular belief, it is important to moisturize all year long. Yes, it’s true in winter, there may be less moisture in the air so it’s extra important, but in the summer between the sun and the wind, our skin can take a beating. Think about it, we go on 8 months of the year (in the northern hemisphere) with our skin never exposed, protected in our clothing, then summer hits, and it’s game on, get outside, be active, do more, think less, kind of time of year. It’s very realistic to live this way, as our natural instinct is to get outside as much as possible when the sun is shining and the weather is warm.

Our skin needs extra protection from the sun, but also needs to be able to breath. In the summer we highly recommend switching over to a facial serum (unless you use a serum all year round) with the right summer ingredients. A serum allows your skin to breath, which is important when it’s hot! A face cream that locks moisture in, but doesn’t allow your skin to breath is recommended in Fall & Winter unless you have very dry or damaged skin.
